Nixter Services is new to the area although the family is third generation in Slave Lake, going back to Jordon’s grandpa, born in the 1930’s. Jordon Wilson is the founder of Nixter, a company started in 2023 that offers Hotshot and Skid Steer Services. When asked what changes his grandpa would see today in the small business community, Jordon replied, “I think it’s changed substantially, specifically the caliber of work. Back then, they were all hands-on using brute strength to get the job done. Now we have equipment for every job to make things easier.”

Al’s has been around since the 1990’s mainly focusing on the Macklin area. It was most recently purchased by Ryan Flegg and Taylor Gartner. Amped Well Servicing
Amped Well Servicing; A division of Amped Energy Services, was established in May of 2022 as a result of an increased requirement for service equipment and service professionals in the Saskatchewan and Manitoba Oil and Gas markets. Amped Well Servicing proudly teamed up with well known service professionals local to this market, and with newly refurbished rod service equipment, began the operation in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Since inception, Amped Well Servicing has expanded operations to Western Manitoba and Southeast Saskatchewan.

Bergum's Oilfield Service
Vern and Danny Bergum started their business venture in 1985, which totals over 39 years in business in the Sedgewick area. They have been a part of the community their entire lives and have continually adapted their business model to provide services that were needed locally but not always available. “We brought in equipment that was adapted for the current situations in the oilfield,” says Denny. “For example, we added a Hot Shot company because one was needed in the area. We diversified into gravel hauling for construction at a local tank farm.”

Founded by Brad Matthews, Endeavor Machining Solutions has served the Lloydminster area since 2007. “We offer services that very few, if any, can from Edmonton right through to Saskatoon.
